Engineering Conferences International (ECI) is a not-for-profit global engineering conferences program, originally established in 1962, that provides opportunities for the exploration of problems and issues of concern to engineers and scientists from many disciplines.
The international conference “Wastewater and Biosolids Treatment and Reuse (WBTR): Bridging Modeling and Experimental Studies” will be held on June 8-14, 2014 in Otranto (Lecce), Italy, one of the Italian regions where water scarcity and the agricultural economy have driven the use of alternative water resources and energy.
The conference is organized under the direction of Engineering Conferences International (ECI) and is supported by the International Water Association (IWA), a global reference point for water professionals. The conference program, developed by a team of international academics, researchers and experts from industry, will cover two main themes: “Wastewater Treatment, Disinfection and Reuse” and “Biosolids Treatment, Recovery and Disposal”. Within each theme, focused sessions will be organized to promote dialogue in the area of model validation studies and ultimately to elucidate the complex interrelations among experiments, simulations and field experiences.
Trojan Technologies is a sponsor for the event, and Domenico Santoro (Senior Research Scientist, Trojan Technologies) , is the conference chair and speaker.
