Cheers to 40 Years: Trojan Celebrates 40th Anniversary

‘It all begins by someone having an idea that initially may sound impossible and off the wall – but in the end turns out to be the beginning of something big and profound.’ – Hank Vander Laan

Staff and special guests gather at Trojan's 40th anniversary celebration.2017 marks Trojan’s 40th anniversary and on the afternoon of August 30th, proud Trojan friends, family and associates gathered in London, ON, to enjoy delicious food, great music, and to celebrate all that Trojan has accomplished.

Special guests Jim Lavelle (friend and long-time consultant and advisor), Matt Brown (Mayor of London, Ontario), Kelly Scherr (Managing Director, Environmental and Engineering Services & City Engineer, City of London), George Taylor (former Board Member) and Tania Testa (former Director of Marketing) were invited to share their Trojan stories, and the crowd was thoroughly entertained by passionate recounts of coming of age struggles, huge acts of generosity, and many successes from 1977 to present day.

The event was an enormous success and many thanks goes out to event organizers, vendors, guest speakers and to employees past and present for their drive and dedication to the continued success of Trojan Technologies.

For more from the celebration, watch our highlight reel and we encourage you to share your Trojan story!

Golf Tournament in Honour of Chris Holland Raises Funds for St. Joseph’s Hospice

On June 24th, 2017, Fanshawe Golf Course was host to the Chris Holland Golf Tournament. Over 100 Trojan friends and family members teed off in memory of Chris, husband of loved and well-respected Trojan Associate Brenda Holland. Chris lost his battle with cancer in 2015 prompting the event organized in his honour to raise funds for St. Joseph’s Hospice of London.

St. Joseph’s Hospice is a charitable organization that exists to create a community that honours people as they journey to this life’s end and to provide a haven where the palliative, the caregiver and the bereaved experience compassion, hope and healing.

Trojan was a proud sponsor of the event, and through the generosity of those close to Brenda and Chris, $6,118 was raised.

The event was a huge success complete with perfect weather, prizes, a delicious meal, and a moose?! In the golfing world of Chris and friends, it is tradition that if a 10 is scored on a hole, the offender is required to run about the green with both hands at his or her temple, fingers extended to mimic antlers. Moose calls were welcome, but not required.
