Providing Goods and Services to People with Disabilities

Trojan Technologies is committed to providing its goods, services and opportunities in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We are committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to benefit from the same services and opportunities, in the same place and in a similar way as others.

This plan will provide the provisions of how Trojan will ensure compliance with the Accessibility Standards for Customer regulation enacted under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (the “AODA”).

Assistive devices

We will ensure that our associates are trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities while accessing our goods or services.

Communication

We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. Our Information Technology websites meet the requirements of WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

Service animals

We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public.

Support persons

We are committed to welcoming people with disabilities who are accompanied by a support person. Any person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to enter the Trojan Technologies premised and any offsite event venues with his or her support person.

Employment

Trojan Technologies provides support in its recruitment processes to applicants with disabilities, including accommodation that takes into account an applicant's accessibility needs. Candidates requiring accommodation during the recruitment process are asked to contact Human Resources at hr@trojantechnologies.com.

Facilities

We are committed to ensuring that our premises and related services are welcoming and accessible to people with disabilities. As appropriate, we are willing to provide necessary alterations to our facilities to accommodate people with disabilities.

Notice of temporary disruption Trojan will provide notice in the event of a planned or unexpected disruption in the facilities or services usually used by people with disabilities. This notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated duration and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.

Training for Staff

Trojan Technologies will provide training to all employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf.

This training will be provided to staff within 30-days of hire and also annually to existing staff.
